Established in 1974, Hi-Tec has been a popular and successful shoe brand since the 70's and really took off in terms of popularity between then and the 1980's. It was originally established due to the founder (Frank Van Wezel's) love of tennis and squash but since then Hi-Tec has further developed its range to include not only trainers but also shoes and boots that are suitable for walking, hiking and general outdoor pursuits. They are currently being sold throughout 80 countries world-wide so of course, here at Stead and Simpson we are very proud to be joining in with the rest of the world in stocking this very sought after make.

We currently have in our stores women's, men's and children's Hi-Tec shoes and boots. Our women's range covers all footwear options starting with a choice of sleek and modern white lace-up running shoes which of course, are perfect for sporty women who are looking for something to last them all season for pastimes such as tennis, squash and badminton: but for those women who prefer to tackle hills and mountains, we have some options which are equally superb. For example, in the colder, weather we have the waterproof leather snow-boot which is insulated and boasts a chunky grip sole to prevent slipping and tripping in the icy wet weather. This boot will keep you firmly on the straight and narrow.

Our men's range of Hi-Tec footwear consists of hiking shoes, trainers and boots in a choice of neutral and well sought after colours such as blue and beige. The majority of these shoes/boots/trainers are made from suede and leather making them robust and comfortable for long treks through the countryside and so suitable for any type of terrain.
